Section 47 is a special division of Starfleet Operations that was established sometime in the 22nd century. For over two hundred centuries it has protected and served the Federation with its own independent fleet and has worked with other major Alpha Quadrant powers to establish peaceful relations throughout both the Alpha and Beta Quadrant. Its members are specially selected for service in this elite organization and are the very best that Starfleet has to offer.

In the 21st century, Section 47 is a Star Trek RPG site that has been in continuous operation since 2001. The site is unique in that all promotions to Commander are based upon participation in our trivia game. Start as an Ensign and work your way up to the rank of Commander First Class by demonstrating your knowledge of Star Trek. Our RPG is based mainly in the post-TNG timeline, but we also offer RPG's based in the Enterprise and TOS timelines and have recently launched Romulan-specific simming. In addition, we have options for simming as civilians, Ambassadors or Marines. In short, we offer something for everyone, whether they are experienced simmers or beginners.
